Have you ever thought of yourself as being accident prone or a klutz. You are not alone. At some point in life we all take a tumble with the worst outcome being a bruise or sprain. But it is important to be aware, falls can be deadly. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta,
unintentional falls cause more than 18,000 deaths and nearly 450,000
hospitalizations per year in the United States. The vast majority of these falls take place among people over the
age of 65, but it is incorrect to assume younger people aren't at risk
too.
